I started out as  script writer in London. After several years writing for TV, I moved to Germany. Here I was lucky enough to get a junior editor´s position at the english branch of a post production company in Düsseldorf. I spent the next decade editing full time (mostly commercials and image films) and began directing my own scripts. I then turned freelance and for the last ten years I have been able to split my time between editing and screenplay writing. The two disciplines are of course members of the same happy family - storytelling.

As an editor, I´m happy on Avid or Premiere. It´s not about the software after all, it´s what you do with it.  The scripts I write reflect my English upbringing - black comedy is where I feel most at home though I´m also partial to a bit of nail biting drama.
